Osteoporosis - "disease of the future" and how to be one step ahead of it

Publication date: 14.07.2022.

What is Osteoporosis?
It is a health condition that weakens bones, making them fragile and more likely to break. It develops slowly over several years and is often only diagnosed when a fall or sudden impact causes a bone to break (fracture).

Who is at risk for Osteoporosis?
Osteoporosis is more common in women. It affects almost 20% (1 in 5) of women aged 50 and over and almost 5% (1 in 20) of men aged 50 and over.

What should be done to slow down the development of Osteoporosis?
Eating foods that are rich in calcium and vitamin D is important. So is regular weight-bearing exercise, such as weight training, walking, hiking, jogging, climbing stairs, tennis, and dancing.

Can the development of Osteoporosis be prevented, and if so, how?
The good news is that it can, and it was recently confirmed by a scientific study.

The National Medical Research Institute from France INSERM-I2MC conducted in vivo study on female mice (12 weeks old) having developed an osteoporosis. The study lasted 14 weeks. The objective was to evaluate the effects of an oral intake of Naticol® fish collagen peptides (daily diet containing 2,5% of Naticol®) on bone mineral density, muscular force and tissues.

Naticol® collagen is proven to prevent and slow down osteoporosis!
Bone density was assessed by CT tomography. The results showed that bone density moved towards an increase in the mice group treated with Naticol® vs. control group.

Therefore, we can conclude that the results of oral ingestion of Naticol® on a daily basis, showed that regular intake of Naticol® Fish collagen peptides may improve the musculoskeletal condition.
